Brooklyn friends, family and neighbors from Two Eyes, a Nose and a Mouth

For the curious, a few words about me:
I'm a photographer, writer and graphic designer who loves to create all sorts of illustrated books for kids (and adults too).

I live in Brooklyn, NY, which has recently become very fashionable, but I was born here and always thought it was pretty terrific. Many of the people who appear in my books are also from Brooklyn and pretty terrific too. 
​
 
 
 
 
Yet as wonderful as my hometown (or anyone's hometown) can be, it's also fun to get out in the world, meet new people, explore new places and learn new things. It opens your heart and mind, helps put everything in perspective, and exposes you to some of the most wonderous things.

Traveling with my camera has allowed me to capture and preserve images that have been especially meaningful to me and I feel privileged to be able to share them with a wider audience through my books, articles, and exhibitions. I hope you've enjoyed exploring my site and sharing them too.
